This is Andrew!

 

He is double licensed as a Barber and Cosmetologist making opportunity in the hair industry exponential!

 

Andrew is a local boy who graduated from BHS in 2016. He spent that summer contemplating what direction he wanted to go as far as learning a trade. Having a mom as a hairdresser and a dad who’s a hotrod mechanic by trade gave him some options to consider. Growing up watching his mom around the salon, along with his natural artistic ability, influenced him to join the family salon business. He was intrigued to learn how he could be artistically expressive while learning the intricacies of running a business. 

 

He decided to start Bella Capelli Cosmotology and Barbering Apprenticeship Program after the summer of 2016 having his hairdresser mom and salon owner as his trainer. Although he was most interested in Barbering, it was necessary for him to first complete Cosmotology in order to have proper training. He became a licensed Cosmetologist in October of 2018. After that he immediately joined the Bakersfield Barber College to then complete the crossover program. He became a licensed Barber in April of 2019. Andrew enjoyed fine tuning his skills in the area of clipper cuts and the use of a straight razor while in Barber school. His fellow barber students and even the instructors appreciated his skill set in the area of scissor cutting and coloring from his previous Cosmetology training. They helped one another learn the two different ways of hair cutting in order to enrich the combo skill set for long and short hair styling.

 

Andrew enjoys all aspects of the hair industry but has a passion for doing face shaves and keeping the traditions of a gentleman’s classic barber experience alive. Having a Barber lean you back for a luxurious shave, warm lather, and a steamed facial towel is a special experience for the guys. His clients thoroughly enjoy this service and appreciate his attention to detail. He takes pride and great care in making sure his tools and equipment are in optimal working condition. He is extremely sanitary and orderly in all his processes. He sees this as something that he would expect from someone who he trusts to use safe precautions by being responsible with their craft. It’s important for him to have high standards in the area of personal health and safety. 

 

During his time of training and development, he has become a well rounded and valuable asset to the team as a whole. He not only offers great services in the area of hair cutting and coloring, but keeps the salon running smooth and the business well organized for the entire team. Whether serving his personal clients or helping manage the clientele for the salon as a whole, you will find him performing many tasks in order to maintain systems of operation. He is a tremendous help while offering great customer service in answering the phones, making appointments, stocking the shelves, and making sure everyone has a great experience. Andrew treats people with honor and respect. It’s no surprise to see him start and end with a thank you and a hand shake...along with a little humorous sarcasm. The overall day to day business would not be the same without him. 

Andrew appreciates the people who support and believe in him and finds value in working closely with friends and family, building relationship with new people, and making his guests feel rejuvenated.
